1. Shipping Policy
- Shipping Days: Orders are typically processed and shipped Monday through Wednesday to avoid weekend transit delays. This helps minimize stress on live animals and plants. Orders placed after Wednesday may be held until the following Monday.
- Shipping Carriers: We primarily use USPS Priority Mail, UPS Ground, or FedEx Express for our shipments. Expedited shipping options may be available at an additional cost.
- Packaging: All live animals and plants are professionally packaged with insulation and appropriate heat/cold packs (seasonal) to ensure their safe arrival. Dry goods are securely packed.
- Shipping Costs: Shipping costs are calculated at checkout based on your location, order weight, and selected shipping method.
- Order Tracking: Tracking information will be provided via email once your order has shipped.
- Local Pickup: Local pickup options may be available for customers in the Tri-Cities, Benton County, WA area. Please contact us to arrange.
2. Live Arrival Guarantee (LAG)
- Our Guarantee: We offer a 100% Live Arrival Guarantee on all live shrimp and plants. In the unlikely event of a DOA (Dead On Arrival), we will provide a refund for the deceased livestock or a replacement (shipping costs apply for replacements).
- Claiming DOA:
- Claims must be submitted within 2 hours of the package's documented delivery time.
- Clear photos are required:
- One photo of the deceased animal(s) in their unopened bag(s) still inside the shipping box.
- One photo of the deceased animal(s) removed from the bag(s) and placed on a paper towel.
- Email photos and your order number to Thomas@shrimpinaintez.com with "DOA Claim - [Your Order Number]" in the subject line.
- Failure to provide adequate photos or submit within the specified timeframe will void the LAG.
- Exclusions to LAG:
- Packages left in extreme temperatures (hot or cold) upon delivery. Please ensure someone is available to receive the package or arrange for it to be held at a post office.
- Delays caused by the shipping carrier (though we will assist with carrier claims where possible).
- Incorrect shipping address provided by the customer.
- Stress coloration or temporary loss of color due to shipping is normal and not covered by LAG.
- Losses due to improper acclimation or unsuitable tank parameters in your aquarium are not covered. Please refer to our "Shrimp Care Guides" for proper acclimation procedures.
3. Returns & Refunds
- Dry Goods:
- Returns on unopened and unused dry goods are accepted within 14 days of delivery.
- Customer is responsible for return shipping costs.
- Refunds will be issued to the original payment method after the item is received and inspected.
- A 15% restocking fee may apply.
- Live Animals & Plants: Due to their delicate nature, we do not accept returns on live animals or plants once they have been successfully delivered and acclimated. Our Live Arrival Guarantee covers initial transit issues.
- Damaged Goods (Non-Live): If your dry goods arrive damaged, please contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the damaged item and packaging. We will arrange for a replacement or refund.
